Sage Software, business partner of KCS, announced that Pharma Logistics, an Illinois-based reverse pharmaceutical distributor, which processes expired pharmaceuticals for hospitals, wholesalers, chain and independent pharmacies, is using CRM SalesLogix to forecast and manage its sales. Pharma Logistics cites its SalesLogix implementation as a key contributing element to its 40 percent growth in 2005, and projects a 500 percent growth by 2010.

"SalesLogix enabled us to change and better manage the customer conversation in the reverse pharmaceutical distribution industry," noted Michael Zaccaro, president of Pharma Logistics. "While competitors fax customer information to a data entry clerk, our field representatives are entering inventory data and synchronizing it with the distribution center on the same day. The information links directly to fields in the database, so we no longer have to make double and triple entries to ensure all data is where it needs to be. One CRM SalesLogix system drives the entire process."

Data Synchronization Refines Business Processes

Process efficiencies save Pharma Logistics time and money across the organization. After a customer service representative enters an order, a remote salesperson can synchronize and evaluate it before returning the customer's call. The accounting department can customize searches to rapidly look up customer records and answer billing inquiries. Individual departments can also generate custom management reports directly from SalesLogix.

Pharma Logistics worked with Technology Advisors, Inc., a Sage CRM Solutions business partner, to execute a natural evolution from ACT! contact and customer management system to CRM SalesLogix. In addition to designing sales process efficiencies, Technology Advisors developed processes to help Pharma Logistics better project workflow and improve resource allocation.

Pharma Logistics plans to implement other SalesLogix features including customer ticket management and newly released marketing campaign capabilities by the second quarter of 2006.
